1998. That was when we first went to Island Cove for our summer vacation. The place was newly opened and much of the place was still being developed. There wasn't much to do around, except swim and relax. I guess that's the whole point and concept of being a leisure park: being able to let people relax and get away from the bustling noise and stress of everyday life.
2008. We return and find ourselves surprised with how much difference 10 years can make. I guess it had a lot more to offer now than when we first came here. They've got the I-Camp, where you can engage a game of paintball (Global Gutz), and an animal sanctuary, where they feature a host of animals (crocs, monkeys, various birds and reptiles and a few dozen ostriches, deer and tigers. They have also set up a biker trail around the island, making it easier for bikers and other guests to get around.
Overall, it was another great vacation. I had to enjoy and bask in whatever relaxing opportunity that came. I'd be starting on a new project next week and this is one of the last chances I'd be having a long and stress-free vacation. Come Thursday next week, I'll be up-to-my neck with work. I pray I'm prepared.
I'd like to share a few infos about Island Cove. I got all of these from their site.
Also, here's the link to some of the pictures taken during our last stay there.
